二、句点

一次， 我在电视新闻上看见温家宝总理在英国视察华为公司时说了一段话是:“竞争力就是知识产权，是专利，是标准。”竞争力我知道是在竞争中显示能力，专利是专有的利益和权利。但对知识产权这个词不懂，打开电脑，查出知识产权，是指“权利人对其所创作的智力劳动成果所享有的专有权利”。得到这些信息，我还是不明白总理的话是什么意思。我就带着疑问我找到在房间看书的妈妈，妈妈说：“要理解这句话，妈妈先要给你来个举例。比如说：华为是一家中国的企业，现在生产的产品要出口到国外，国外的贸易组织或海关就要审查华为的产品每项是否有专利侵权，如果有就会扣留，华为公司就得出证明，证明没有侵权或者赔偿。

如果一个公司或个人有了创新发明了东西，没申请专利，有人知道去申请了，获得了专利权，你照样可以获得赔偿，所以有了自己的劳动成果就要申请专利，获得知识产权，得到法律的保护。就有了知识产权法。”

我似懂非懂地点点头，妈妈说“总理的意思是：要想在世界表现更优秀，那就得要有创新。”我连忙接着妈妈话：“我总算明白了，原来知识产权必须要与法律和制度挂钩才会起作用。”妈妈说：“儿子真聪明，现在知道知识产权法的重要性了吧。”我不禁说：知识产权法是调整因创造、使用智力成果而产生的，以及在确认、保护与行使智力成果所有人的知识产权的过程中，所发生的各种社会关系的法律规范之总称。我们身边也有一些人违背了知识产权法，比如：抄别人的作文的人他们就是违背了知识产权法。我们不应该做这样的人。

However, nowadays a large number of people, especially the young, are unwilling to or cannot spend their times in reading classics. For another, some people think that it is no use of reading classics because these classics are outdated and useless to our society and lives.

然而，如今许多人，尤其是年轻人，不愿意或不能花时间去阅读经典。对于这一现象有很多原因，这里我只想列出两点。一方面，越来越多的人被由其他的东西分散了注意力，它们可以给他们更多的乐趣也不用思考，如各种娱乐活动。另一方面，有些人认为阅读经典是没有用的，因为这些经典著作在我们的社会和生活中已经过时了而且也没有用。

In my opinion, it is wrong to consider classics as an outdated matter because it still has many important functions and influence on our society and our lives. Classics are a kind of treasure in a nation. Therefore, we should give enough attention to them. And I advocate that all of us should try our best to read some of them.

在我看来，把经典著作看作是过时的东西是错误的，因为它在我们的社会和生活中仍然有重要的作用和影响。经典是一个国家的一种财富。因此，我们应该给予足够的重视。我认为我们都应该尽量去读一些书。
