This holiday my sister and I went to Shanghai. My sister had just graduated and she wanted to find a job in Shanghai. My uncle lived in Shanghai, so we lived with him after we got there. On the first day we went to a lot of interesting places, including Waitan and Huangpu Park.

The next few days were spent helping my sister find a job. We read many advertisements in newspapers. My sister failed in getting the first job because they said she was too young. Then we lost our way and couldn’t find the second company. We had a map but the city is so big, so we had to asked someone for help and finally found the second company. The winter holiday is coming.I want to do something useful in the winter

holiday. If so,I think my winter holiday must be very great.

At school I dont do well in English. My brother is a college student.He

studies English and does well in it.So I first want him to help me in the winter

holiday.This time I must work hard at English.Every morning I want to listen to

English on the radio.Then I want to do more speaking with my brother.Im sure I

can become good at it by hard work.

My Birthday

I have a wonderful time on my birthday every year.But I will never forget

my tenth birthday.On that evening,my friends came to my house.We had a big

meal.Later,my mother put a big cake with ten candles,some fruit and drinks on

the table.I made a silent wish.My friends said“Happy Birthday”to me.They gave me

some nice presents,such as a basketball,flowers and my favorite books.We

sang,danced and played games.I thanked them very much for their presents.I also

thanked those who helped me and took good care of me,especially my parents.I

felt I was the happiest boy in the world.

A School Trip to the Zoo Yesterday was a fine day.Our school took a trip to

the zoo.We went there by bus.We got there at 8:30 in the morning.There were many

people in the zoo.Some of my classmates watched the monkeys,some watched the

elephants,some watched the tigers.We took manmy photes.We all had a great

time.
