Construction of the palace complex began in 1407， the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. 转眼间，春节已过，元宵将临，各家各户都忙着做花灯，王少也乐哈哈地忙了一天。到了元宵灯节的晚上，各家各户街头房前都挂上各式各样的花灯，王少也打出一顶花灯上了街。只见这花灯扎得又大又亮，更为特别的是上面还题着一首诗。王少来到笑面虎门前，把花灯挑得高高的，引得好多人围看。笑面虎正在门前观灯，一见此景，忙也挤到花灯前，见灯上题着四句诗，他认不全，念不通，就命身后的帐房先生念给他听。帐房先生摇头晃脑地念道：

头尖身细白如银，论秤没有半毫分，眼睛长到屁股上，光认衣裳不认人。

笑面虎一听，只气得面红耳赤，怒眼圆睁，哇哇乱忠："好小子，胆敢来骂老爷！"喊着，就命家丁来抢花灯。王少忙挑起花灯，笑嘻嘻地说："老爷，咋见得是骂你呢？"笑面虎气呼呼地说："你那灯上是咋写的？"王少又朗声念了一遍。笑面虎恨声说："这不是骂我骂谁？"王少仍笑嘻嘻地说："噢，老爷是犯了猜疑。我这四句诗是个谜。谜底就是针，你想想是不是？"笑面虎一想：可不哩！只气得干瞪眼，没啥说，转身狼狈地溜起了。周围的人见了，只乐得哈哈大笑。

这事后来越传越远。第二年灯节，不少人都将谜语写在花灯上，供观灯的人猜测取乐，所以就叫"灯谜".以后相沿成习，每逢元宵灯节，各地都举行灯谜活动，一直传到现在。

到了春节早晨，爆竹声震耳欲聋，窗外礼花朝我微笑。我们一家早早的起了床，我也换上了新衣裳，你可能要问了，为什么要早早的起床呢?因为爸爸妈妈和我要回老家看看，大约开半小时的车，我们就来到了老家，老家的空气就是好，我也能体验体验乡下的生活，更主要的是我不是闷在家里，而是和我的哥哥一起玩，玩一整天，然后再回来。

然后接下来的六七天时间，我们要到许多亲戚家里，每次到那里，大人们一说话就是一两个小时，而我们小孩只能在那里做着，十分无聊。虽然我感觉十分无聊没有意思，但是转念，觉得至少比闷在家里好，还能赚上一笔钱(压岁钱)。
