但是，这雄奇的景观，竟然在逐渐消失。

20世纪80年代，人们为了发电，为了城市面的繁华，在塞特凯达斯大瀑布上游建起上世界上最大的水电站——伊泰普水电站，水电站挡住了大瀑布的水源，工人们毫无节制地乱砍伐树木，污染大瀑布的水;即使在每年汛期，也见不到大瀑布雄奇的景观，它就像一位生命垂危的老人，在美丽的群山中无奈地低下了头……

据有些科学家所认为,要不了多长时间,塞特凯达斯大瀑布将永远从世界上消失!这雄奇的景观将永远消失在我们眼前!这也意味着我们已经犯下了滔天的罪行!我真为我们所做的一切而痛心不已!

我热爱地球——她是人类的母亲、生命的摇篮、人类赖以生存的家园。但是，这个家园的环境正在令人不安地一天天变化着。

学校本来是非常美丽的地方，但我们总会看到一些同学不爱护环境的行为。你看，有些同学喜欢随手把垃圾扔到地上，把地上搞得脏脏的；有些同学跑到草坪里、花坛里，踩踏绿油油的小草、五颜六色的鲜花，把它们踩得面目全非；有些同学喜欢爬，喜欢把树枝当秋千玩耍，结果把树枝弄得伤痕累累，加快了树木衰老的速度；有的同学不注意爱护墙壁，洁白的墙上留下了一个个黑黑的脚印；还有的同学浪费饮用水，打满满一瓶，喝不完随手倒掉；还有……

地球是大家共同的家园，我们必须爱护地球、节约能源，不要浪费珍贵的资源。个人认为以下几种作法可以创造一个绿色环保的地球：

第一、食的方面：使用环保碗筷，不但能减少竹类、木类的砍伐，让大地更茂盛、也让动物也能安祥的住在森林里快乐的生活。每餐食物的量要控制好，避免剩下太多厨余而浪费食物。尽量食用蔬果，减少肉类的食用，以达到节能减炭的目的。

第二、衣的方面：勿购买保育类动物毛皮制作的大衣，许多稀有动物因为人类的捕杀，已濒临绝种！所以我们应该好好对待这些动物，让地球保有生物的多样性。

第三、住的方面：工业及家庭民生都需要用电，电力的产生需要煤炭、核能、水力来发电，所以我们也要节约用电、用水。要养成随手关灯的习惯，室温超过摄氏28度以上才开冷气;上完厕所之后，可以用洗衣服或洗澡的水来沖马桶，不但马桶可以被沖得很干净，而且还可以省下不少水费。

第四、行的方面：出门上班上学尽量步行或骑脚踏车或搭乘大众交通工具，既健康又可以节省汽油，更重要的是可以减少一氧化碳的排放，让地球暖化速度减缓。

第五、其他方面：垃圾减量及再回收：把宝特瓶、铝罐、铁罐、纸张和干电池都要做好分类回收，让资源可以重复利用，发挥它最大的功效。干电池里面的化学物质会污染土壤，造成土壤无法种植农作物，所以必须确实回收。

地球的资源是有限的，用完就没了，做好垃圾分类，不但可以减少垃圾量，还可以让垃圾场使用年限延长，更可以为地球尽一份心力。
