英语阅读书籍读后感20篇

小学英语作为近几年新增设的科目，在肩负英语启蒙和为以后进一步学习大基础的重任的同时，又面临着检验匮乏，教学对象年龄小，注意力，接受，分辨能力相对较低等重多困难。那么，怎么才能克服困难，有效良好地进行小学英语教学呢？我认为应在分析学生的年龄特征、心理、注意力等特征的前提下，精心设计组织教学。而其中，游戏的运用尤其重要。现行小学英语教材就充分认识到了这一点，在整册教学内容中，几乎在每课都穿插有游戏。

游戏在小学英语教学中有着多方面的重要的作用。

一、 激发兴趣，活跃气氛，吸引注意力

一节好课不是老师一味的讲，学生一味的听，而应是有静有动，动静相结合的，小学设管内的天性是好动的，要让他们端端正正的坐着听四十分钟，是很难办到的。即使做到了也收不到良好的教学效果。同时还可能压抑了他们的个性，影响了他们的学习兴趣，此外，心理研究表明，小学生的注意力稳定性较差。最好的也只能保持30分钟，况且长时的有意注意容易使人感到枯燥乏味，投入程度也不会高，如果在教学中结合教师的讲解，适当地安排一些游戏，为孩子们提供一个动的舞台，把他们的思维和身体从疲劳、紧张中解放出来，使他们涣散的注意被吸引过来，在轻松愉快的气氛中完成学习任务。例如，在学习人身体部位名称时，刚开始学生们觉得新鲜，兴趣很浓，热情还很高，但随着单词加多，听讲和读的时间加长，他们感到很疲乏，觉得没意思了，注意力也不能很好地集中了。这时，我适时地加入了“听口令，做动作”的游戏，一听说要做游戏，孩子们立刻变得活跃起来，注意力又集中了，在随后“touch your head” “stamp your feet” “wave your arm”的口令中，他们一会摸头，一会跺脚，一会挥胳膊，忙得不亦乐乎，最终在笑声中记住了个部位的名称。

二、 创设情景，加深记忆

一种语言习惯的习得，必须是在一定的语言背景和情景中完成，这些仅靠课文中提供的情景对话是远远不够的。那些对话是别人的，学生只是一个扮演者和朗读者，因为没有心灵的感受和理解，许多人不能很好地融入其中。游戏就弥补了之不足。它不仅为学生提供了情境，语境，还让学生们真正地成为“主人公”亲身经历资：料；来/源，于ＧＺＵ５２１学：习；网 http：//Ｇzｕ５２1。COm，这对他们的记忆又是一大帮助，如果为了记忆只是一味地重复练习，他们就只能是机械地记忆，而这种记忆是很难保持的，但如果将所学的内容安排在他们积极从事着的活动中去，成为活动的直接对象，这样，因为是他们亲自感受体验，直接参与了的，记忆效果受识记时的情绪状态的影响。情绪状态较佳时对记忆作用明显。这一研究结果提示我们，在教学时，应该重视情境，愉快地教学，这又如何做到呢？游戏便为我们提供了一条捷径。在教学中开展多种多样轻松幽默的游戏，使他们在笑声中学会英语。

三、 训练口语，发展思维

英语的学习不仅仅是记忆、理解、书写，还要能够说出来，能够正确流利地说出来。这是重点也难点。对于初学英语的人来说，更是难上加难。他们往往心理紧张，没有自信，不敢开口。更别说在课后生活中运用了。要攻破这个拦路虎，首先必须给学生一个没有压力的轻松环境，消除内心的紧张与害怕，同时，鼓励他们进行语言交流，在运用语言与其他人互相讲话时，学习的内容会丰富起来，游戏就恰恰能够做到这些。游戏给了学生接近生活，轻松愉快的环境，带给他们描述、表达、说明的欲望，在不知不觉中训练了口语，这些都比学生自己读教材重复教师的话有价值得多。

语言与思维之间存在密切的关系，游戏在联系课本词汇的同时，促使学生准确地表达思想感情，把他们所学的语言词汇合理地组织，适当地安排，准确地表达，这个过程，丰富了他们的词汇，丰富了他们的的感性经验，推动了思维的灵活性、逻辑性的发展。

此外，游戏给了学生想象和思考的空间，激发了他们的想象力和思考能力。如在教学“friendship”时，为了让他们深刻理解记忆这个单词的含义，我采用了画图的游戏，就是把这个单词的意思用画图表示出来。因为“friendship”的概念是抽象的，没有实物可以比拟，这样就不能照猫画虎了。只能凭借自己的脑子去思考去想象。有的学生想象了一个有关友谊的故事，画了一幅漫画，有的想到了恩格斯和马克思的友谊，画了两幅肖像；有的想到了一句古诗“桃花潭水深千尺，不及汪伦送我情”，并且惟妙惟肖地画了出来，以次来体现“friendship”的含义这样，学生们充分发挥了他们的想象和思考的能力，深刻地理解了单词的意义，思维能力也得到了进一步发展。

四、 培养情感，发展能力

在教学中，有趣的游戏活动，可以养成学生热爱生活，开朗乐观的生活态度，能够让学生有机会感受生活的多姿多彩，有机会展现自己的生命活力和丰富想象力，创造力，从而树立自信心和自豪感。在游戏活动中，学生与他人合作交流，使其体验到团结、友爱、互助、荣誉感、责任感，进取心等积极的情感。比如，在角色扮演的游戏中，使其学习表达各种社会角色的情感，在画画游戏中进一步发展了他们的美感，此外，游戏中还存在一个如何协调的问题，如何制定游戏规则和如何违反规则进行处罚的问题，学生们需要自主地讨论和解决这个问题。这个过程中他们的组织能力、协调能力等都得以锻炼，同时这队学生的独立性、正义感都有潜移默化的作用。

以上是游戏在小学英语教学中四方面的作用，除此之外，还有其他作用，这根据游戏形式、内容的不同而异，当然，并不是所有游戏都能起到了这些作用。这就要求我们在教学中精心选择、组织，恰当安排，以使其取得最佳效果。

Huckleberry Finn was a great literary work published in 1885 and written by Mark Twain. One of the most positive things about the book would be that the reading level is not very advanced and that it shows us a glimpse of the past. Along with the reading level not being very advanced, the book itself is extremely well thought out, and brings the stories, characters, and imagery to life. One of the negatives is the amount of cursing that takes place throughout the book. This is a negative because it is at a children"s reading level and it does not add any literary value to the book as a piece of history. The ugly but I believe necessary part of the book is the use of the n-word. This is a necessary part of the book because it shows to our children and everyone the meaning behind the word. If anything it makes the reader more understanding of the troubles that the slaves when though and understand the meaning of the word a little more deeply.

This book was great, a masterpiece for the lack of words to describe how entirely wonderful it is. The book was a great classic, the only reason that I did read it is because we have to read a classic for school, however, now that I have read it I realize that it was a great book. I would read this book two or three times, and I do not like reading books again. The book was really able to portray the idea of childhood innocence and foolishness in the book, especially the end. I thought that this book was really an eye opener for people who may think that life is not worth living or maybe derpessed. Because, as you can see, Huck was a young boy who had an alcoholic father who beat him all the time, even kidnapped him after he was adopted by other people. Huck even decided to run away from his father, yet he is still a young, fun loving kid in the end, especially when Tom reveals to him how the whole trip was just a game. The only thing I have to say against the book is that it did seem a little racist with its words, however maybe this is just how they talked in that time period? Overall a great read that I highly reccomend.

Gorky said: "Books are the ladder of human progress!" It is obvious how

important reading is! Reading books allows us to learn a wealth of knowledge,

but also make people progress.

Usually we should read more books, and we must read good books, such as:

science fiction, composition, fairy tales, fables, myths and other useful.

Meaningful book. However, for books like comics, it is best to read less.

"Reading through thousands of books, writing pens is like a god." I think

that reading more is good for writing. When reading, you should accumulate some

good words and good sentences, and then copy them on your notebook. Learn more

about other peoples writing skills. Content, so that when writing, the

accumulated and learned things can come in handy!

Books are our good friends; books are also our good teachers; none of us

leave anyone, book this intimate teacher, this competent teacher!

起初读《老人与海》的我尚为稚嫩，这些想法在我看来已是这份作品所要表现的全部了。但当我走得更远，经历更多，却发现这个平凡的故事，远没有当初我所以为的明了;一如原本简单的世界，随着人的成长，而越发复杂。当我再次合上书页的时候，心头早已泛起一阵风雨。

在这个学期中，我读了海明威的《老人与海》，内容十分精彩，令我爱益匪浅。

这个故事主要讲的是：有一个圣地亚歌的老渔夫，连续八十四天没捕到鱼了，被同行看成失败者。可是他仍然坚持不懈，结果捕到了一条比自已船还大的马林鱼，在归程中还受到了鲨鱼的袭击，但他仍然斗志昂扬，在大海中与鲨鱼展开了一场顽强的搏斗，历经了重重艰难险阻，虽然老人捕的鱼在途中仅剩下一条鱼骨和一身的伤，但丝豪没有减退老人的坚强意志，还是得到了人们的赞赏。

读完这本书，我深有感触：我们平时会遇到一些或大或小的困难，但我们要勇敢地克服他们，就像《老人与海》中的老人一样，失败并不可怕，可怕的是你永远放弃，那老人归来时，那一个鱼骨架虽在别人眼中是失败品，但在自已心中是最美的战利品！一生永远不会忘记，我们要多多向老人学习，面对挫折，勇敢对抗，坚持克服困难。

看，爱迪生小时候被人认为是傻子，但长大之后，总共有三千多项发明，这些发明改变了所有人的生活，他就像一个最伟大的魔术师，把电送到我们身边各个角落，让全世界变得灯火通明，让远隔千里的人们听到彼此的声音，对于他而言，科学发明之路永远没有尽头。

所以，我们只有克服困难，才有好结果，记住，人生像一面镜子，你对“他”笑，“他”就笑，你对他“哭”，“他”就哭！这本书告诉我们一个道理，人不是为了失败而生，人可以失败，但绝不能在意志和精神上被打败！

浩瀚的宇宙中，有太多的迷团。它们就像磁石一样牢牢地吸引着我们，使我们十分渴望却难以探索这些迷团。就这样出现了一位思想巨人，他就是史蒂芬。霍金。这个假期我幸拜读了他的著作《时间简史》。

当我翻开书时，它果然立刻深深地吸引了我。书中作者在描述“相对论”、“弯曲空间”这些理论时，措词精确、深入浅出、幽默风趣，丝毫没有给人一种乏味的感觉。

更加精彩的是书中还有很多精美插图能够帮忙我们读懂它。并且还附有作者对未来宇宙的大胆猜测和推想。优美的词仿佛又使我们置身于宇宙之中，目睹宇宙大爆炸，恒星的生辰与毁灭……俗话说“听君一席言、胜读十年书”，可我发此刻看完《时间简史》后，书中的知识与精髓更是胜读“十年书”。

再谈谈本书的作者斯帝芬。霍金，《轮椅上的巨人》就是说霍金的。他因患“渐冻症”被襟固在一把轮椅上40多年之久，但他身残志坚克服了身体的缺陷而成为了国际之“超星”，他不能写字，甚至不能说话，但他超越了“大爆炸”、“相对论”、“量子学”等论理，迈入了浩大的宇宙中。尽管他那么无助的坐在轮椅上，但他的思想却越过了地球飞向了宇宙。

约翰。弥乐顿讲得没错：头脑是他自我的住处，他在其中制造天堂的地狱。让我们记住《时间简史》，它对我们终身有莫大帮忙，我们将受益匪浅。

She was seduced by a so-called gentleman—Alec, and from then on her life totally changed from this loss of innocence. People looked down on her and respected her no more. She was forced by the gossips and the church to blame herself for this accident, so she thought she deserved nothing good. In order to get rid of the past she decided to go to a distant dairy farm but was still saying to herself that she was wrong. Maybe God didn’t aGREe with that, because the Lord gave her someone she loved with her whole heart and life—Angel Chare. Angel popped the question to her but she refused him without saying why. She said she loved him deeply and perhaps no one in the world could love him more than she did but she could not marry him for some unspoken reason. Angel wasn’t satisfied with this vague answer and did his best to win Tess. Somehow she agreed and they soon fixed the wedding day. Soon after their wedding Angel confessed the crime he committed to a woman long time ago and asked for Tess’s forgiveness. Tess was not at all angry and forgave Angel at once; in fact she was rather happy and excited for she also had things to confess.

She sat and told everything to Angel, hoping he would forgive her as he was forgiven but she was wrong. She was not forgiven, not as she thought she was. The woman pays.

Without Angel’s love, nothing meant anything to her. The result wasn’t important now. Tess was arrested for her murder of that so-called gentleman. Why? She still loved Angel and when he finally went back to her and asked for HER forgiveness, after he reGREtted what he had done unfair to Tess, she was desperate. That was too late—Alec had always told Tess that Angel would never come back so he won Tess’s trust. Unluckily Angel did come back and found Tess.! Everything was too late!

Tess was deceived and she lost Angel for the second time! The strengh of her love was so strong that she had forgotten the difference between right and wrong. Before that she had done nothing wrong but when she killed Alec, everything really changed! She became a criminal! How could it be? She was as pure and innocent as the good wife in the Bible. Her whole character was honest and faithful. Angel figured out at last that a person should be judged not only on what he has done but also on what he wanted to do!

Tess didn’t want to be seduced by man and she had no power to defend herself so she lost her innocence and that’s all! Angel also did the wrong thing and it was even more serious than Tess’s crime but HE was not blamed for it. Why it is always the woman who pays? Why they are always hurt? Why was Tess’s girlish purity lost? Why does the wrong man take the wrong woman? Why do the bad often ruin the good? Why is beauty damaged by ugliness? Women are too weak! Thousands of years of history have shown us that women have always been treated unfairly!

In old China there was a culture, which didn’t think of women as human beings. If you asked one if he was the oldest in his family, he would probably answer “the oldest one” even if he had some elder sisters. If you asked why then he would say, “Ha, they are not included!”

People gave birth to many girls in order to have only one boy to keep the family name going. They thought girls had no use for the family. They would be married and go to live with their husbands’ home and be their wives some day sooner or later. So they were extremely hard on girls.

Girls should be hard working, faithful, loyal, intelligent, and virtuous and the most important thing was she must be a maiden! If her husband was the first man who touched her then she was a good girl, a good wife no matter how she thought. If she wasn’t, then she would gain a very bad reputation and nobody would dare to go near her. What about men? People did not care whether he was an experienced man or not, nor did they care about his character. They thought man equals power and power equals rights…

我读过这么一个故事，题目是周恩来总理的的一句名言：“为中华之崛起而读书”。故事的内容是这样的：

在周恩来12岁那年，他离开了家乡，来到了东北。前来接他的伯父指着一片繁华、热闹的地方对他说：“没事可不要到那个地方去玩啊!”“为什么?”周恩来不解地问。“那是外国租界地，惹出麻烦可就糟了，没处说理去!

”“那又是为什么呢?”周恩来打破沙锅问到底。“为什么?中华不振啊!”伯父叹了口气，没有在说什么。

当周恩来闯进租界地，亲眼看见了外国人欺辱中国人，不把中国人当人看的情景，这才真正体会到“中华不振”的含义。这让他立下了一个决心：“为中华之崛起而读书。”

读到这里，我就特别的佩服周恩来总理的志气。他小小年纪就富有远大的革命理想和抱负。励志为振兴中华而读书，好好学习。我和周恩来的少年时代不同，我有着很好的生活条件和学习环境,就更应该好好学习，长大以后回报社会，回报祖国!

后来，在一次修身课上，校长问同学们为什么而读书?同学们踊跃回答。有的说：“为明理而读书。”有的说：“为吃饭而读书”……校长对这些回答都不满意，校长见周恩来没有抢着发言，就让他来说。周恩来郑重而坚定的回答道：“为中华之崛起而读书!”校长很惊讶，竟有如此出众的学生。他让周恩来坐下，然后对大家说：“有志者当效周生啊!”

人们常说：“自古英雄出少年，有志不在年高。”周恩来总理用行动和言行就证明了这一点。一个短短的故事，就告诉了我们一个深刻的道理：没一个人都要有理想，也要有正确的理想，伟大的理想。再为那个理想而奋斗、努力，你才能获得成功。我是一名非常普通的小学生，我与周恩来的少年时代不同，我是新世纪的新少年。这是一个充满知识和物质丰富的年代，我一定以周恩来的少年时代为榜样，以他的名句为动力!我下定决心，在以后的学习中，要更加努力，更加刻苦，为自己的理想的实现而努力。掌握更多的本领和更多的技术，长大以后回报祖国，回报社会，做个对社会有用的人!

童年是一条五彩的河，童年是一道七彩的路，童年是一座闪亮的桥，童年是一个美丽的世界。童年是多么美好，但是前苏联著名文学家高尔基的童年却是异常的悲惨。

《童年》这本书向我们再次讲述了十九世纪七八十年代俄罗斯下层人民的生活状况。高尔基的童年，是在一个弥漫着残暴和仇恨的家庭里度过的：四岁丧父，跟随悲痛欲绝的母亲和慈祥的外祖母到专横的、濒临破产的小染坊主外祖父家，却经常挨暴戾的外祖父的毒打。但善良的外祖母处处护着他。幼小的他过早地体会到人间的痛苦和丑恶，小小的心灵因而受到许多打击。而外祖母和那些像外祖母一样的人，保护和支持了高尔基。故事生动展示了一个充满残酷、野蛮、愚昧、污秽的令人窒息的生活，我们深深地体会到沙皇专制制度的腐败、丑恶，体会到老百姓身处黑暗而不知的奴性与麻木，以及年轻一代反抗黑暗、奴役，追求自由、光明的苦难历程。

和高尔基相比，我们的童年是灿烂的，是彩色的;是没有烦恼痛苦的，更是无忧无虑的。我们从没有经历过被人打、被人拿鞭子抽的滋味。当然，除此之外，我们的生活中也很少有家人之间的勾心斗角，为争夺财产而打架斗殴之类贪婪、凶狠的事情。更不会发生残忍的把某个无辜的人无端地折磨致死这类想都没想过的“事件”。

我禁不住想到了自己。当年的高尔基已经走上了独立谋生的道路，但现在的我却连简单的洗衣服都做不好。我曾尝试过洗衣服，却实在做不到。先要擦肥皂，然后这边搓搓，那边搓搓，再……洗到再来，衣服还是不成样子，脏的地方还是脏，最后只能丢进洗衣机。我们和高尔基之间，差距实在太大了。

看了《童年》这本书以后，不仅让我知道了这美好的童年需要我去珍惜，还让我懂得了现在就应该做好出发前的准备，为了实现远大的理想而努力奋斗。读书阅读总能让我像《祖父的园子》里的萧红一样感到无比的自由;总能让我随心所欲的畅想感到惬意;总能让我有感于生活的幸福与满足……

我一口气读完了这本薄薄的小册子。闭上眼睛，仿佛看见在蓝色的海洋上飘着一缕清风，海滩上，有一个独自钓鱼的普通的老人……

故事很简单：古巴老渔夫桑提亚哥在连续84天没有捕到鱼的情况下，苦苦等候中终于钓上了一条大马林鱼，但这条鱼实在太大了，杀死后只能绑在船边。在归程中又一再遭到鲨鱼的攻击，最后回港时只剩下鱼头、鱼骨。这个以捕鱼为生并与海洋相依为命多年的老人却对生命带有一丝敬畏：“你要把我害死呀，鱼呀!”“我从来没有见过比你更庞大、更美丽、更沉着、或更崇高的东西，来把我害死吧，我不在乎谁害死谁。”“凭风度举止和高贵尊严来看，谁也不配吃它。”然而，尽管老人对鱼的生命如此尊敬，他的信念却没有丝毫动摇：“你是我的朋友……我必须把你害死。”正因为鱼在老人眼里和他自己一样崇高，并同样拥有坚定不移的目标、与对手周旋的智慧、不屈不挠的意志，它才成为老人的对手。只有在这样强大的对手面前，老人才能证明自己的力量。

当鲨鱼咬去了这条大马哈鱼大约四十磅肉时，老人这样想：“人，不是为失败而生的，一个人可以被毁灭，但不可以被打败。”这句话震撼着我的心。人和动物的区别就在于灵魂。对手十分强大，老人却已经年迈，手上、脸上被钓索勒出了伤痕……没有什么条件是对他有利的。然而人的灵魂是坚强的：他用鱼叉，用桨柄，用短棍，用舵把……老人使出了浑身的力气与鲨鱼搏斗，实践了他的人生准则——“人，是不可以被打败的。”虽然他老了，可他的那颗心依然年轻，就是这样一颗坚强的心，支持者这样一个坚强的灵魂，支持到把所有对手打败。

A good book not only brings happiness to people, but also comforts; it can

not only make you think deeply, but also enlighten you. A good book is a wise

man, a mentor, a friend, and a partner. My favorite thing is reading.

books also bring me much joy. I remember one time, my mother bought me

"Insects", the book records many insects and their habits. I couldnt put it

down, and when I got home, I picked up the book and read it with interest. When

I read the firefly insect, a beautiful scene immediately appeared in my mind: On

a summer night, I was walking in the park, and at this time, many fireflies were

flying around me. Illuminate the way forward... The more I think about it, the

more excited I am, and I read it more seriously. When I read about ants, an

insect, I couldnt help but be shocked by its unity. Together, ants can move

things that are several times heavier than them. I also feel that we must learn

from the spirit of ants. Reading and reading, I forgot the time. It wasnt until

My favorite book is wrote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. I still remember the first time I read the book, I was like in a fantastic world. The little prince is a boy who has an angelical heart, his life is also very simple-a small planet which is full of flowers and monkey bread tree seedlings. The little prince is always depressed, and when he was sad, he would sit on a chair and see the sunset. He even see forty-three times sunset in a day to make himself feel better.

His life turned to a new appearance when a beautiful rose came out. She is a flower with proud, when her lie was exposed by the little prince, she felt embarrassed. The small misunderstanding between them made the little prince determined to leave the planet he lived on.

On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. Following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the Sahara, on the earth.

Traveling on the earth, the little prince, who sees a garden of five-thousand roses, is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considers his rose is unique in the universe before. At that time a fox

appears. The fox, who tell the little prince about the meaning of the word “tame”, becomes his new friend. At the time to say farewell, the fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his rose and tamed by him. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose. Then he chooses the venom of snake to end his life.painful but happy, he thinks he could lay aside the bulky body and go back.

I cried about the prince’s death. But I’m not sad. His life is so childish ,pure, and also sincere. And he must get his happy ending being with his rose finally. The plot is easy, but the deep meaning of the story is worth thinking . we have grown up as an adult, then we are gradually surrounded by meaningless figures and money. We live in a complex society , every day we must be faced with all kinds of person ,which made our heart more and more cold and detached. For me, society is a monster which could kill the pureness inside of my mind. I’m so grateful for reading this story. And from then on, I have a little prince live in my heart, and when I felt tired to face the society, he appeared and took me back to the clean and honest world that I’ve ever stayed in childhood. Then, I found out everything seemed so simple and life was so beautiful.

Abstract: This film Shawshank Redemption describes a man called Andy Dufresne was sent to the prison for he murdered his wife but in fact he was innocent. Then he started fighting against with the wicked prison life. Though he suffered many unfair treatments and ordeals, he never gives up himself. Due to his intelligence and perseverance, he spend 20 years successfully escape from the prison as a redemption. He teaches me that never lose hope.

The story took place in 1940. A man who is a banker called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the Shawshank prison, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel. Nevertheless, A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. And one of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted. Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape. During this time, he did many things: expanding the library, caving stones, helping the corrupt warden to get money or bribe, etc. Then a young prisoner’s coming break his quiet life in jail. But the warden killed the young prisoner the only man that knew Andy was innocent. Then he knew the prison he could not stay any more. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. When he got free, Andy sent the evident which could prove the warden corruption, briber and murdering to the policy agency. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.

The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption. This film impressed me a lot. A sentence was said in the film: ’Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, but most birds will choose to stand it.’

In this film, as we can see, the Shawshank Prison, which enjails lots of people. They have been in the prison form many years ,so they won’t go abroad. Because they won’t and also they can’t. They lived here for years without hope, and they lived just in the small prison, where nobody knows what is their dream and what’s their hope. As I remember, a old man Brooks was released after he had been in the jail for 50 years. But he found that the world became completely different from the world he imagined. For example, he seldom see cars before. He felt very strange and helpless to the outside world He can hardly adapt to the new developed world. He would rather stay in the prison. So unfortunately he chose to commit suicide.

However, on the contrary, Andy said a converse sentence:’ Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, that"s all. Their feathers are just too bright’ He long for the freedom and strive for it! What I remember very clearly is someone said that These walls are kind of funny things like that. First, you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That is institutionalizing. But Andy hadn’t been affected. He insisted on his faith of freedom. He dared to pursue his deserved freedom! That’s the first point I appreciate.

What’s more, another thing I think is friendship. Of course, Andy’s perseverance and endeavor is the main reason that he succeed in escaping. But it can’t be denying that friendship is also a important reason. Without the friends’ help in the prison, especially red’s, He can’t break the prison, too. Even in the jail which is the most evil place that Andy could make it a significance place. He had transformed a storage room smelling of turpentine into the best prison library in New England. Then the prisoners read the books and got knowledge from it. Andy also helped them to pass the high school equivalency. The glitters of him lighted others’ life. That helps him built many sincere friendships in the prison. He just too bright that didn’t belong to the prison .Then he escape and gained the freedom.

Furthermore, the patience, courage and b willpower are the keys to escape. 20 years, not a short ordeal time, but he endured. He made his plan day by day, week by week and year by year. He never gives up. he took nearly twenty years to dip a tunnel with a little rock hammer which Red said it would take a man 600 years to tunnel under the wall with one of these to fight for his free .And he did it finally. Please imagine, crossing the tunnel he dup, he still should crawled through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness. That is the length of five football fields.

Then is the last but not least, I think. He has the bright brain ,the never fading persistent, and the most important thing----hope. Just as Andy said to Red: Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things. In this film, Andy show us that how good thing the hope is. Yes , hope is a good thing. Whatever it is, it can’t lock the hope. We all have dream. We all have hope. We all have it and please never give up, like Andy.

This film, Shawshank Redemption, teaches me a lot. It deserves to be one of the most overwhelming films in the Hollywood.
