Chinese intellectual revolution and sociopolitical reform movement (1917 – 21)。 In 1915 young intellectuals inspired by Chen Duxiu began agitating for the reform and strengthening of Chinese society through acceptance of Western science, democracy, and schools of thought, one objective being to make China strong enough to resist Western imperialism. On May 4, 1919, reformist zeal found focus in a protest by Beijings students against the Versailles Peace Conferences decision to transfer former German concessions in China to Japan. After more than a month of demonstrations, strikes, and boycotts of Japanese goods, the government gave way and refused to sign the peace treaty with Germany. 这周有一个非常特别的事情，就是我参加了全国奥林匹克英语大赛初赛。

周六清晨七点，我被一阵美妙的铃声吵醒，我一个鲤鱼挺出了被窝，开始快速刷牙、洗脸，接着就去了我的英语补习班——英伦外国语。

八点左右，我们和英伦老师乘坐公交车去中原领航实验学校考点考试。老师让我们先排好队，秩序井然的出了校门，坐上我们熟悉的b3路公交车，很快到达了考场。

开始考试了，我的眼睛一扫题目，哈哈，我以为有多难呢，原来这么简单！虽然我在很短时间内完成了试题，但是我还是认真检查了很多遍，直到老师收卷。

在星期天的早上，妈妈接到了学校发来的考试成绩，我已经成功晋级复赛，我非常高兴！接下来老师让我准备写一篇英语短文，迎接复赛！
