During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. I wake up 11

oclock Am everyday, after a washing, I have a good lunch with my parents. Next

I play computer games till the time to have supper. After have dinner. I go on

playing till 2 oclock Am, and then go to sleep with tired. This is one dull day

of my winter vacation.

But I havent bored all the time. Sometimes I read the books, sometime I

listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside

and snowy all the day. And I also meat some of my good friends during the

vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year

and play table tennis tegether. And I watched the spring festival party of the

CCTV in the last seconds of the 2004 year! I think this is the thing most people

of china doing at that time.

Thats all, all my dull, coldly and snowy winter vacation.

Last week, I visited the geological museum with my best friend, Liu Bing.

It was my first time to go there. The moment we arrived there, we found that the

building was grand. When we walked into it, there was a big hall in front of us.

And then there were several rooms to show different kinds objects. There was a

room for collecting scripts and paintings. There was another room to store

clothes and shoes in the old times. The next room was for collecting the daily

necessities in the old days. In a word, all the things in it had a long history.

I learnt some knowledge from it.

振奋人心的时刻到来了!今天，我们再一次和五(7)的球员们来了一场激烈的比赛，为了洗刷上一次的耻辱，我们的球员可谓是厉兵秣马，全力以赴。一个坚定的信念在心中响起：五(9)班必胜!

比赛开始了，我们的球员们个个都生龙活虎，在球场上你追我赶，和对方的拼的不分上下，十分焦灼。然而，上一场的比赛依然历历在目，当时我们的球员也都是满怀信心，抱着必胜的信念，但最终却惜败给对方。想到这，我们的心里像压着一块大石头一样，无比沉重。就在我愣神之际，敌方突然一个猛烈的进攻，眼看球就要进入我们的球门了，在这千钧一发的时刻，我们的守门员两腿一叉，展开双臂，再用力往前一扑，耶!球接住了，真是惊心动魄，大快人心啊!

此时，再看看我们其他的球员，守的守，攻的攻，分工明确，到底是吃一堑长一智呀!记得我们上一次的比赛，就是吃了这个大亏，球员们只知道开“party”般扎堆抢球，没有团队精神。这次可大大不一样了，我们的球员各司其位，后卫传给中锋，中锋传给前锋，就这样，球在场上转了一圈又一圈。此时我们双方都僵持不下，居然打成了平手。最后裁判决定，点球决胜负，石头剪刀布，赢了的一方先发球。前锋首先出场，抬脚一记怒射，“呼——”的一声进了，接着后卫中锋也都进了，最后我们以四比一的比分赢了这场比赛。场下，我们五(9)班的全体同学欢呼着，跳跃着，齐声呐喊：“我们赢了，我们赢了……”

这真是场别开生面的足球比赛啊!它不仅丰富了我们的校园生活，更让我们懂得了团队配合的重要性，告诉我们每个人都是这个大家庭的一份子，同悲伤，共荣耀!

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

好不容易，熬到了放饭。吃过午饭，我垂头丧气地来到了学校。“咦，咱班怎么那么热闹？”我很好奇，连蹦带跑地闪进了教室。原来，下午第三节在走廊里照常举行广播操比赛。

到了下午第三节课，铃声一响，广播操比赛就开始了，同学也跟着紧张起来。一向老练的我，此时也不例外，腿不停地颤抖，一连作了几下深呼吸。 第一个出场亮相的是四（1）班，他们个个精神焕发，动作整齐，可我根本没有心思去看……

该我班上场了，体育委员迅速地整队，把队伍带到了走廊。也许，我太紧张了，居然没有听到开始的音乐。第一节操，就慢了几拍。我定了定神，才勉强地跟上了同学。第二节……第五节，这几节做得挺顺心，我也放松了许多。不好，第六节跳跃运动错了一个动作，我的心又“扑通扑通”地跳个不停，脸涨得通红。突然，我发现张老师正站在一旁看着，脸色特难看。我打了个寒颤，不由得埋怨自己：“在这节骨眼上怎么又做错了，实在太不应该了！”哎，操终于做完了。

不一会儿，比赛的结果出来了，我班只得了第三名。

回到教室，我坐在位置上一言不发，心里想了许久，也想了许多。

Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

Different people have different hobbies， I often cycling to play with my classmates. It is especially good for health. 不同的人有不同的爱好。我经常骑自行车玩和同学一起玩。它特别对健康有好处。这是很好的锻炼。除此之外读书是我的另一个嗜好，我很喜欢读书。至于读书，我可以从中学到很多知识，并且对外面的世界有了了解，那真是太美好了。

今天下午，我们上完英语课，陆老师说：“咱们利用大课间要去广场看退休老工人风筝比赛。”同学们异口同声地说：“太好了！”我们像一只只快乐的小鸟一样跑到了操场上，等待出发。老师说：“现在开始排队。”我们排好队高高兴兴地去广场了。

到了广场，我看见了有许多人在看风筝：有的坐在花坛边上；有的站在广场四周；有的推着自行车，一动不动地等待着更精彩的风筝表演。参加风筝比赛的有许多老爷爷：有的风筝正在空中飞着；有的十几个老爷爷连手抬着一个长长的龙风筝，正在准备放飞呢；有的一个人拿着一个大八卦风筝用力地向天空抛去。忽然，又一个风筝升起来了！哦，是一条大鲤鱼风筝。只见那红色的鲤鱼在空中摇头摆尾，活灵活现展现在我的眼前。它越飞越高，越飞越灵活，像真的鲤鱼在碧海中游泳一样美。我情不自禁地喊到：“那鲤鱼真像活的！”  这时，金光闪闪的太阳照着那五颜六色的风筝，闪着耀眼的光芒。

突然，许多风筝一起升到天空。几个老爷爷手拿着龙风筝，奋力地往前跑，那条“龙”直升上天空中，龙头上长着两只角，两只角下面有一个长长的嘴巴，张得大大的，好像要把那红红的太阳当作宝珠嬉戏玩耍；它的身旁还有一条“小龙”，那只“小龙”长长的尾巴一甩一甩的，在阳光的照射下，五彩缤纷，更加引人注目。“大龙”好像看见了，他把自己那长长的尾巴摆成一排，好像是21世纪的通天梯展现给人们；“小龙”好像不服气地把尾巴甩了一下，变成神龙摆尾。

我还看见了“蜜蜂”“鱼”“神舟7号”“八掛”“II角星”“飞机”……最好看的就是“II角星”，它一起飞就旋转起来，好像一个大风车。这时，围观的群众，有的站起身来，眼睛跟着自己喜爱的风筝在转动；有的干脆跟着风筝在跑动；有的站在花坛上随着风筝转动。我看见了有一个非常小的孩子坐着三轮车，仰视着天空中各种各样的风筝，他好像已经忘记自己正在三轮车上了。

我们正看得入迷时，老师说：“我们要回教室了。”大家只好恋恋不舍地回去了。

回到了教室，那美丽的风筝还一直在我的眼前浮现着。

暑期里，我参加了图书馆里航空模型制作，结业时可以参加扑翼机比赛，扑翼机比赛。比赛那天上午，老师给我们每人发了两架扑翼机材料，要求我们制作，完成后再来比赛。

我匆匆忙忙回到家里，在桌子上摆出各式的工具和材料，按照老师教的，认认真真地做起了第一架飞机。首先，我把机身装配好，用纸条把它捆扎固定，再打上胶水，使其更牢固；接着在翅膀和尾翼上沾上薄纸，最后把翅膀装上，把下面的皮筋装好就成了。“第一架飞机做好咯”我高兴地喊道，爸爸妈妈听见了，就跑了过来，和我看着说明书检查了一下，我的手微微颤抖着，我有些担心，不知道能不能飞起来。我绕好皮筋，轻轻地放掉飞机，只见这架扑翼机缓缓地上升，成功了，小学生作文《扑翼机比赛》。

吃完午饭，我开始做第二架飞机。很快也完成了。试飞时，刚开始飞得不错，可是一会儿就掉了下来。为什么两架飞机都飞得不太好呢？我和爸爸想了又想，试了又试，终于发现了问题，原来飞机的转动关节里，我们没有加油，由于关节不灵活，耗掉了一部分动力，所以飞不高了。我在每一个关节里仔细地加上润滑油，再试，扑翼机轻松地挥动着翅膀，扑向空中。

比赛的时间到了，我带着第一架飞机兴高采烈地来到了图书馆。老师带着我们参赛选手在图书馆培训中心前面的两棵大树中间比赛。预赛开始了，第一位同学拿着扑翼机，用力往前一扔，结果刚扔出去就落到了地上，才２秒。第二位同学……轮到我了，我的心“怦怦”直跳，我拿住扑翼机，绕好皮筋，轻轻一放，飞机缓缓上升，最后留空时间是10.32秒，我暂时领先。

决赛时间到了，这次轮到我先飞。我深深吸了一口气，轻轻地放开飞机，只见扑翼机犹如一只白色的鸽子，快速挥动着它那轻柔的翅膀，飞向空中。“高些，再高些，加油啊！”我情不自禁地大声叫起来。扑翼机带着强劲有力的动力，飞过了树梢，又飞过了图书馆顶，然后像鹰一般在空中滑翔，缓缓下降。我追着它跑过去，激动地把它捧在怀里。最后我的成绩是15.11，夺得冠军。

广场上响起了小朋友热烈的掌声。“我得了第一名咯！”我向爸爸高兴地蹦去，爸爸说：“Ｏk，这真的很精彩！”

I like to hear music so much, every time when I am in the bad mood, I will

take out my MP3, listening to the music, then all my worries will be forgotten.

Music is part of my life, I like rock music specially, Avril is my favorite

female singer, I like all of her songs. I wish someday I can have the chance to

My happy Spring Festival After the New Year’s Eve dinner with my family, we began to sit down in front of the TV, and enjoyed 2008 CCTV Spring Festival gala. At about ten o’clock, the black sky was lightened by lots of fireworks with colorful light and happy sound. We stop watching the CCTV 2008 CCTV Spring Festival gala, and began to climb up the balcony to see the beautiful fireworks view, and my father took some fireworks up, and we also began to play fireworks. What a beautiful night. Later, my cell phone was ringing all the time. I received lots of short messages from my friends and classmates. They all blessed me happy New Year. I gave same bless to them by sending back the happy words. At almost 12 pm, I made a wish in New Year, and began to sleep.

When I woke up in the first day of New Year, my father and mother gave two red packets to me, and blessed me that everything will go well on me. I thanked them, and accepted the red packets happily. I have been waiting for the day that I can get lots of red packets. This is my happiest time of the year. After lunch, both my family went to the park, the streets, and the shops or supermarkets. We took many photos in the park, and bought many things in the shops or supermarket.

I met my uncles and aunts, they all blessed us happy New Year and gave me red packets. I was too happy to count how many red packets I got. The following days, we visited my grandparents and some of relatives. We happily talk with them, and brought some presents to them, and also received some New Year presents. This was how did I spend my Spring Festival; I really enjoyed myself in Spring Festival.

在我们成长过程中，会遇到各种各样难忘的事。它可能是一次挫折，可能是一次游戏，可能是一次……而我最难忘的就当数上周五举行的拔河比赛了。

比赛这天，天气晴朗，阳光明媚，很适合比赛。于是我们六班和三班就在体育老师们的带领下举行了这次拔河比赛。我们一个个陆续来到比赛场地坐好。因为比赛快要开始了，所以两班都在如火如荼地挑选身强力壮的人参加比赛，我可是我们班上的大力士，怎么能不参加呢?挑选完选手后我们两班都整齐地分布在拔河绳的两侧，一个个都摩拳擦掌地准备大显身手，帮自己班赢得比赛。

“ 吡~”比赛开始了。每位选手都用尽全力，想为自己班赢得荣誉。而我更是使出了吃奶的力气使劲地拔。只见拔河绳中红色布条一下左一下右，不分胜负。

“啊~~”突然一声尖叫，我们班的同学们都摔倒在地。。三班怎么突然放手啊?真是阴险!我在心里埋怨。可是当我站起来看到眼前的情景惊呆了，原来根本就不是三班突然放手而是拔河绳断了!我不禁苦笑：我们的力气真大啊!就这样拔河比赛在我们的惊讶中结束了。“人多力量大”这五个字出闪现在我的脑海里，是啊，不正是我们那么多人齐心合力地拔，拔河绳才会被我们拔断的吗?

虽然这次比赛很普通，但在我眼中它却是最特别也是最让我难忘的。因为它让我明白了“人多力量大”的道理。

下午，随着上课铃响，同学们陆续走进教室，英语老师也捧着试卷慢慢的走进教室。老师站在讲台上严肃地说：“今天我们考试，请大家准备好考试用的东西。”我一听，呆呆地坐在那，想“唉，竟然是英语考试，这可是我最怕的事情，啊，真是悲剧啊！”想完，只见老师发下试卷，说：“现在开始考试。”唉，只能写了。于是，我硬着头皮，乱写一通。

咦？这个怎么写呀！于是我想呀，想呀……忽然，我觉得试卷正面好像有这道题目，于是，我把试卷翻过来，看了一下，果然有这道题目，然后，我把填的答案抄过来，这样，这道题目就做完了。

过了半个小时，我的试卷做完了，看了看时间，快要下课了，于是我检查了一遍。过了一分钟，下课铃响了，我把试卷交了上去，静静的离开了教室。

Dear Sir,

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.
